Ingram Micro Enhances Cloud Services, Programs

Ingram Micro announced the availability of its Cloud Marketplace in France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, and several new cloud services and programs aimed at partners.

The global IT distributor also announced that Microsoft Office 365 is now available on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, giving partners the ability to directly purchase, provision and create their own Office 365 bundles. Other cloud vendors debuting on the Cloud Marketplace include Acronis, Nomadesk and Cirius. Ingram Micro expects to add more vendors soon including Intel Security.

Ingram Micro plans to launch the Cloud Marketplace in Belgium, Italy, Germany, Spain and Sweden in the second quarter of 2015. It currently provides English, French and Spanish language support with German language support following in the second quarter.

Ingram Micro's new cloud services and programs include Cloud Ignite Services and Cloud Elevate. Cloud Ignite Services is designed to help partners with the data migration and customer on-boarding. It also provides partners with free customer service for all cloud services purchased on the Marketplace. 

Cloud Elevate, Ingram Micro Cloud's premier loyalty program, offers rewards and enablement services to help resellers improve their cloud sales and profitability. Benefits include exclusive promotions, discounts, education, sales and marketing support.

Avnet Launches uRenew Service Contract Portal

In a move to help partners capture service contract renewals across their hardware and software portfolios, Avnet Technology Solutions has unveiled Avnet uRenew, a service contract renewal portal for U.S. and Canadian solution partners and supplier partners.

The resource was developed to simplify the renewal process for service contracts by giving Avnet's partners a single, consolidated view into the status of their current customer service contracts. The portal also provides data analytics related to renewal tracking to identify sales opportunities, opportunity management that allows for forecasting and transaction status updates, and sales transformation to identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities as well as create budgeting and pricing information.

CompTIA Offers New Channel Training Courses.

CompTIA has announced its spring 2015 channel training curriculum, developed around the theme of "business transformation." The IT Channel Training Guide includes three new courses on business agility, understanding the balance sheet and financial management. The new training catalog includes several Quick Start Sessions and Quick Start Guides on how to sell technology solutions into vertical markets.

Arrow Collaborates With Immersive

Arrow Electronics is collaborating with Immersive Partner Solutions to offer an integrated and automated validation solution for FlexPod converged infrastructures. FlexPod is an integrated computing, networking and storage solution developed by Cisco and NetApp. Immersive's Converged Infrastructure Deployment Assurance Tool (CIDAT) for FlexPod enables VARs to validate FlexPod configurations in significantly less time than a manual configuration validation takes, said the company.

Secure Channels Partners With MicroTech

Secure Channels, a cyber-security company, has partnered with MicroTech, a technology integrator and services provider, to support federal government contracts. The new partnership enables Micro Tech, a supplier of IT products and services to the federal government, to offer Secure Channel's patented encryption technologies for use by the U.S. government departments and agencies. The technology, now on the GSA schedule, provides security to government users in the cloud, private data centers and mobility systems, as well as a host of database systems.

eLearningChampion.com Debuts Online Computer Courses

eLearningChampion.com offers a variety of online computer courses for leading software providers, including Microsoft, Adobe, Apple, Google, Corel and Oracle. Courses include Microsoft Office Specialist certification, which includes progress tracking, a resource library and grading tools.

The online learning platform also offers exam simulations for certification test prep and online connections with expert mentors. Other courses available include Website development, graphic design, enterprise management and social media networking via video tutorials.

RES Software Expands Partner Program

RES Software, a digital workspace technology company, has expanded its RES Service Provider program, to include RES IT Store, an automated service app store that will give partners more options and flexibility to their customers. These include hosted pricing models, support for all major desktop delivery platforms (Citrix, Microsoft and VMware), integration with a variety of ITSM and MDM technologies and the most common cloud services, automated recurring tasks and branding opportunities within the RES Software products.

Continuum Delivers Managed Backup Platform for MSP Partners

Continuum, a channel-exclusive provider of integrated managed IT services solutions, has released Continuity247, a fully managed backup platform, built on the IBM cloud, that helps its managed service provider (MSP) partners deal with the key challenges around backup and disaster recovery (BDR). The platform allows MSPs to manage all clients' backups from a single pane of glass with remote access to appliances, protected machines and the cloud.

The platform is supported by the company's Network Operations Center (NOC), which proactively monitors, troubleshoots and corrects any problems to ensure backups run 24/7/365 for the small and midsize business (SMB) clients of its MSP partners. MSPs can also add Continuum's intelligent Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform backed by NOC with additional benefits including alerting, integrated ticketing, remote control, scripting, patch management, antivirus software and reporting.

Springboard Retail Opens Platform to Resellers and Integrators

Springboard Retail, a cloud POS and retail management platform, has launched its channel partner program with two levels of partnership. The Springboard Retail Referral program is designed for companies looking to offer a more comprehensive in-store solution to extend the value they offer to retailers.

Partners can bundle core services and refer qualified leads to the Springboard Retail Customer Success Team. Springboard Retail Reseller targets partners that sell and implement solutions for multi-channel retailers. Resellers also can leverage Springboard Retail's REST API to build new applications and integrations.

Tech Data Adds VSN Mobil

Tech Data has signed an agreement with VSN Mobil to distribute its products in the United States through the company's Mobile Solutions and Retail division. Under the agreement, Tech Data becomes the exclusive distributor of VSN Mobil's V.360° Camera and V.ALRT Smart Button to national retailers, carrier stores and Apple specialists, as well as select regional and online retailers. Tech Data will also distribute VSN Mobil's upcoming line of unlocked smartphones.

xMatters Enhances On-Demand Platform

xMatters, a provider in communication-enabled business processes, has announced a new release of its On-Demand communications system platform for managing, deploying and resolving IT incidents. Designed for service providers, IT teams and individuals, new features of the latest xMatters On-Demand cloud release include functionality improvements for scheduling and calendaring as well as multi-login support. It also provides a new Group Overview to allow users to quickly identify on-call gaps along with other features such as full team contact information, an improved roster that shows a single view of resources including a team's availability, and enhanced conferencing that now makes it easier to identify all of the attendees on the call.

ITC Infotech Joins Asigra Partner Ecosystem

ITC Infotech, a global IT services company, has joined the Asigra partner ecosystem to deliver backup and recovery services based on the Asigra Cloud Backup software platform. The partnership enables ITC Infotech to deliver fully automated and compliant backup and recovery for organizations of any size and across vertical markets. The service provider's customers include enterprises in financial services, consumer packaged goods, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, travel, transportation and logistics, media and entertainment, and the life sciences.
