Government VAR ManTech Acquires TranTech
ManTech International, a solution provider that works with national security programs, has acquired government IT, cyber-security and networking solution provider TranTech.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but ManTech said it would provide further information on its Feb. 23 fourth-quarter earnings conference call.
With the acquisition, ManTech gets TranTech’s position on the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) ENCORE II contract, an "indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract vehicle with a $12 billion ceiling and performance period through 2018," the company said in a statement. TranTech will be integrated into ManTech’s Technical Services Group (TSG).
"ManTech has a consistent strategy of acquiring companies that drive our organic growth and help us provide additional services to our defense and intelligence customers," ManTech chairman and chief executive George J. Pedersen said in a statement. "We believe that the acquisition of TranTech’s employees and capabilities and the ability to deliver services through the ENCORE II vehicle are consistent with that strategy."
"As DISA and the U.S. Cyber Command seek to protect and secure defense networks and information, we see a substantial pipeline of opportunities to provide a full range of innovative information technology, networking and cyber solutions through the ENCORE II vehicle and other contracts," Louis M. Addeo, TSG group president and chief operating officer, said in a statement.
"TranTech and ManTech are a strong fit in terms of culture and capabilities. Our employees are pleased to join the ManTech family and will benefit from the expanded professional development opportunities a company of ManTech’s size can offer," said TranTech president and CEO TiTi McNeill, in a statement.
