CBL Launches Online Portal

CBL Data Recovery Technologies Inc., of Armonk, N.Y., has announced a Web-based portal for partners participating in its Data Recovery Advantage (DRA) program.

The portal, located at www.cblpartnerportal.com, offers VARs, OEMs, information technology integrators and service providers a variety of benefits, including 7x24x365 data recovery services, customized client programs, referrals and integrated OEM warranty offerings.

Xyratex Signs Condre Storage

Xyratex, of Havant, U.K., has signed an OEM distribution agreement with Condre Storage, a storage solutions distributor based in Eden Prairie, Minn.

The agreement with Condre Storage, which sells storage systems mainly to systems integrators, will allow Xyratex to better reach those systems integrators’ customers—companies employing the latest storage technologies, according to Jon Haley, vice president of sales and marketing at Xyratex.

The agreement also will provide end-user customers with better service and support for just-in-time delivery and logistical support, according to Condre Storage president Dennis Maetzold.

String Bean Software Partners with Planet Technologies

String Bean Software, a provider of iSCSI-based SAN (storage area networking) solutions in Montgomery Village, Md., will partner with Planet Technologies, of Germantown, Md., to develop iSCSI SAN solutions for the data center environment.

The combination of String Bean Software’s WinTarget technology and Planet Technologies’ technologies will result in iSCSI SAN solutions with functionality including disk quotas, N+1 clustering for Microsoft SQL and Exchange, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, dynamic disk allocation, and virtual server disk capacity, according to Planet Technologies CTO Paul Edlund.

Avanton Signs Distribution Alliance with Marketlink

Avanton Inc., a developer of secure networks in Manhattan Beach, Calif., has partnered with Marketlink Technologies, an outsourced sales and marketing organization based in Sandy, Utah, to create a nationwide distribution channel of resellers for Avanton’s ReadyARM network security appliance.

The partnership will focus on channel partners with expertise in the SMB (small and medium-sized business) market, Avanton’s target market for its plug and play security appliance.

Finjan Signs Distributor Agreement with Alternative Technology

Internet security provider Finjan Software Inc., of San Jose, Calif., has signed a value-added distribution agreement with Alternative Technology Inc., a distributor of security products and thin client/server-based computing solutions, based in Englewood, Colo.

Under the terms of the agreement, Alternative Technology will distribute the Finjan Next Generation Vital Security Appliance Series to its network of resellers in the United States and Canada.

Finjan chose Alternative Technology partly because of its focus on security and its reputation for helping resellers assemble products into comprehensive solutions for resellers to market, according to Nick Sears, president of U.S. operations at Finjan.
