Intel may be losing four of its top channel executives, according to published reports.

The executives are reportedly taking retirement packages as part of Intel’s ongoing and widely reported restructuring plan.

The reports say that the departing executives are Shirley Turner, director of North American channel marketing; Nick Davison, director of North American channel sales; Mike Steward, manager of North American channel marketing programs and initiatives and another unnamed sales manager.

But Intel stopped short of confirming that those executives would be leaving.

"We’ve been upfront for more than a year now on some actions Intel is taking regarding our cost structures and employment," a spokesperson said. "There have been some recent changes in our reseller organization but nothing is official and employee actions are private matters."

Nick Davison was just named to head North American channel sales a year ago, replacing Steve Dallman, who was promoted to head worldwide channel sales last year. Dallman is reportedly staying with Intel.

Oracle recently lost two of its top channel executives.
