SolarWinds N-able RMM Upgrade Supports MSPs
SolarWinds N-able launched the N-central10 remote monitoring and management platform designed to help managed service providers (MSPs) support their small and midsize (SMB) customers and drive profitability for the channel.
N-central 10 provides advanced monitoring, management and remediation for network operations center (NOC) and help desk services that cover the MSP services lifecycle, the company said. New features and capabilities include support tools to help MSPs troubleshoot, diagnose and remediate help desk issues, and integration with top professional services automation (PSA) offerings, such as Autotask, ConnectWise and TigerPaw. The platform also supports drag-and-drop automation and real-time direct support tools as a-la-carte licenses. Other features include a new user interface and "device overview" page.
Previously known as N-able by SolarWinds, the company also announced that its new corporate branding name is SolarWinds N-able. SolarWinds acquired N-able Technologies in 2013.
Ingram Micro Simplifies EMV Compliance for Channel Partners
Ingram Micro released a new "Electronic Payments Playbook" and multi-vendor solution bundle that simplifies EMV (Europay, Mastercard and Visa) compliance for retailers and businesses.
The offering provides channel partners with the resources and technology to address the October 2015 EMV payment standard, also known as "chip and pin," said Ingram Micro. The global EMV payment standard requires all retailers and other businesses that accept credit and debit cards to become compliant by Oct. 15, 2015.
Available now in the United States and Canada, the playbook and solution bundle provides channel partners with a detailed overview of the global EMV mandate and includes the hardware and merchant services needed to ensure compliance. As part of the new bundle, Ingram Micro Professional Services is providing channel partners with start-to-finish professional services, ranging from assessment and deployment to equipment disposal, solution testing and certification audits.
Ixia Enhances Partner Program
Ixia, a provider of application performance and security resilience solutions, has expanded its Channel Xcelerate Partner Program to enable resellers and distributors to deliver end-to-end solutions to customers worldwide. The program provides new enablement tools, a user-friendly partner portal and additional online training resources.
The company also now gives specialization ratings to help partners brand and differentiate their offerings based on proven expertise in five areas: application performance, security, virtualization, support and sales to government agencies. For a sales partner to qualify for a specialization area, the partner must demonstrate that at least 15 percent of its revenues are derived from that specialization; it has dedicated sales and technical teams; and at least two of its employees have completed Ixia's required training.
Passportal Software Secures IT Services for Channel Partners
Passportal, an IT security software provider and channel-exclusive vendor, launched its latest mobile-optimized, password protection and management solution, Passportal 3.0. The new cloud-based offering provides more advanced features and functionality, aimed at making it easier for VARs, MSPs and IT service providers to protect the businesses they serve and own from data breaches, network vulnerabilities and cyber-security threats.
New features include a more intuitive user interface, more robust and flexible data security options around password management, bookmarks and permissions, as well as greater import, export and reporting capabilities, the company said. It also provides deeper integrations with leading professional services automation (PSA) technologies, including Autotask and ConnectWise. The company plans to announce a new "Rebrand and Resell" program that allows channel partners to brand and sell its password protection and management offerings to customers directly, expanding their monthly recurring revenue potential.
