NSFocus Launches Anti-DDoS for Providers

NSFocus has launched an active distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack mitigation appliance that defends against known and unknown attacks. The ADS 8000 series is designed for hosting service providers, Internet data centers (IDCs), telecom carriers and managed security service providers (MSSPs). These providers are high-value targets for DDoS attacks because of the “massive Websites and other diversified applications that they host,” the company said.

An emerging strategy is to incorporate DDoS appliances into the network to protect brand reputation and provide end users with a security-as-a-service product that can be added to go-to-market strategies, which will help increase business benefits and return-on-investment.
