We spoke with Zenture Partners Founder and President, Rob Bye, about how his company is bringing a modern, automated approach to a legacy market that is no less important to businesses now than it was fifty years ago.

Why Bye took decades of channel experience to new venture

Bye has spent much of his career in the channel, with over 20 years of experience at companies like WWT and XO Communications, managing telecom-related projects.

In 2022, he founded Zenture Partners and began developing the company’s platform technology and strategic consulting services.

“We are a strategic consultancy and AI-powered lifecycle management provider that gives entrerprises clarity and control over their entire telecom estate,” said Bye.

Bye emphasizes he founded the company to provide a differentiated model by which Zenture Partners acts as en extension of internal teams across procurement and other key operational needs. The ultimate goal, he says, is to provide gains in efficiency and effectiveness in an area dominated by legacy technology and complex, fragmented systems.

“We are the partner that does more,” said Bye. “We’re not just a middleman with a carrier, we want to be a part of that full lifeccyle. Our partnerships are not one-and-done.”

As Bye notes, the telecommunications space has evolved greatly even just within the last decade as new forms of technology and the wave of cloud-based systems has expanded traditional networking operations significantly.

“Telecom is the lifeblood of all organizations, but so often it’s the most overlooked asset to IT leaders and teams who have so much going on,” Bye said.

How the MyZenture platform supports leaders on a no-cost basis

Zenture Partners offers its clients its proprietary platform technology as a way to address the challenges they face. The platform leverages AI-based automation to bring every circuit and contract across an organization into a single view with pricing and other key information.

“Our Zenture platform empowers organizations with unified contracts, circuits, carrier portals, and all of their costs into a single view,” Bye said.

The platform provides users with a variety of asset management capabilities, including circuit types, speeds, locations, and more. It also enables businesses to view costs and address billing and consumption issues efficiently from a single space.

MyZenture also conducts AI-based searches to compare quotes across vendors and providers, benchmark costs, and enable data-driven decisions on renewals and other agreements.

“We’ve all become accustomed, as consumers, to having information just readily available at all times because of smartphones and apps,” Bye explained. “I can look at houses and cars in seconds, but telecom hasn’t caught up to that.”

The platform is available on a no-cost basis, and Bye says it’s critical to him and his team to ensure enterprises get the best value for their time spent with Zenture as a whole.

“Time is the most valuable asset organizations have, and what we want to provide is that time back as well as making them more informed buyers,” said Bye. “Our clients are looking for guidance and trying to determine okay is this a fair price, are there challenges we’re going to run into as we scale. We want bring that to our clients.”

“What we’re enabling our clients to do is look forward. We’re like that moving walkway at the airport: enabling you to move faster,” he continued. “We’re not trying to sell them our solution, we’re trying to help them understand who is available and best fits their needs.”

Why telecom is an industry poised for disruption and innovation

As noted above, telecom has changed greatly over the last decade as technology continues to evolve.

“We’re watching this transformation take place where it’s all just happening so fast,” Bye said. “We really wanted to provide people the insights they need.”

As Bye notes, software-based tools are likely to see cost increases over time as AI features cause upward ticks in the overall IT spend enterprises predict. To him, those prices, coupled with all of the complexity in the space, are creating the perfect storm of opportunity for someone like Zenture Partners to bring a new answer to age-old questions.

“Our approach shifts from the reactive fire-fighting model to enabling teams to work proactively… and we’re providing that continuous data-driven analysis so teams can make decisions in real-time,” said Bye.
