EMC shores up its security offerings through its channel partners, Spare Backup signs a new channel partner, Avnet Partner Solutions announces a distribution agreement with NEC, Avaya and MTM Technologies sign a master reseller agreement, and Spare Backup signs a reseller.

  • EMC Signs Storage Security Partners

    Through its EMC Select partner program, EMC partners now will be able to resell security solutions from NeoScale Systems Inc., CipherOptics and Decru.

    The agreement includes the CryptoStor FC Storage Security appliance from NeoScale Systems Inc,. of Milpitas, Calif., the Decru DataFort FC-Series and E-Series storage security appliances from Decru of Redwood City, Calif. (now part of Network Appliance), and high-speed data protection gateways from CipherOptics Inc. of Raleigh, N.C.

  • Avnet Partner Solutions Signs Deal with NEC

    Avnet Partner Solutions, a value-added distributor based in Tempe, Ariz., will join NEC Solutions Inc.’s new partner program and begin distributing NEC’s line of products.

    As a partner in NEC’s Express Partner Program, Avnet Partner Solutions will be able to offer its resellers access to Intel-based fault-tolerant and Itanium 2 servers, software and storage solutions. Resellers also will receive dedicated sales and certified solutions engineering personnel to support NEC product lines, as well as certification and sales training, demand generation and rewards programs.

  • Avaya and MTM Technologies Sign Master Reseller Agreement

    IP telephony vendor Avaya of Basking Ridge, NJ has signed a master reseller agreement with MTM Technologies Inc., a network solutions company in Stamford, Conn.

    Under the terms of the agreement, MTM Technologies will sell Avaya’s IP telephony products, applications and services, expanding its practice area and creating a broader solution set, according to Francis J. Alfano, CEO of MTM Technologies.

  • Spare Backup Signs Digital Pursuit

    Spare Backup Inc., a Palm Desert, Calif.-based vendor of automated online backup for small businesses, has signed an reseller agreement with Digital Pursuit of Miami, Fla.

    Under the terms of the agreement, Digital Pursuit will offer the Spare Backup service to its customers, for which it performs Web development, programming and design.
