Four VARs announced a channel partnership Dec. 18 with Archivas, a leading provider of digital archiving solutions.

Paragon Systems, Kinney Group, Regan Technologies and TriAxis Storage Solutions have joined the Archivas Partner Program, enabling all four companies to include ArC (Archivas Cluster) archiving software in their solution portfolios. ArC software is a comprehensive preservation, compliance and discovery platform for fixed content.

“We have been hearing from our customers for some time that chief among their concerns is building a reliable, scalable, secure and easy-to-use data archive infrastructure which can help them to meet the rigors of regulatory requirements, while also leveraging their existing investments in applications and open systems infrastructure,” said Jim Kinney, president of Kinney Group, in a joint statement with Archivas and the others. “We are very pleased to be able to announce that we are now aligned with Archivas in this area, the true leaders in long-term data archiving technology.”

All four of Archivas’ new channel partners touted the alliance. Marc Trimuschat, vice president of business and development at Archivas, said channel partnerships are a key element of Archivas’ go-to-market strategy.

“Consequently,” he said in the statement, “we are delighted with the response our Partner Program is garnering from the industry. This announcement and the addition of four new world-class channel partners–Kinney Group, Paragon Systems, Regan Technologies Corp., and TriAxis Storage Solutions–are a testament to the world’s growing recognition of the critical importance of long-term fixed content archiving to meet internal governance, compliance regulations, and legal discovery mandates, as well as Archivas’ leadership position in this space.”

Regan Technologies Chief Operating Officer Fred Bedard said his company is looking forward to a long, mutually beneficial relationship with Archivas.

“The Archivas Partner Program has enabled us to continue to deliver the…technologies and professional services our customers have come to depend upon and expect,” he said in the joint release. “Archivas ArC complements our existing installed base and relationships with vendors–from storage to servers to applications.”

Trimuschat added that Archivas officials say they are excited about the announcement. “We have experienced great success to date with our Solutions and Platform Partners, and look with great anticipation to moving forward with this significant enhancement to the Archivas Partner Program,” he said.
