Given Amazon Web Services' sheer size, there's virtually no solution provider that has not encountered AWS on some level. As the cloud service provider matures, it's clear that it sees a much greater need to reach out to the channel. For solution providers that have yet to do business directly with AWS, however, here are 10 facts and figures that offer perspective on the size and scope of AWS and how it is going about engaging the channel. Of course, as with most cloud service providers, AWS' impact on the channel can cut both ways. In certain areas, solution providers might be adversely affected as application workloads continue to move away from IT infrastructure running on-premise. In other cases, the application integration and ongoing managed services opportunities that AWS enables could be quite attractive for channel companies able to tap these benefits. Of course, for many solution providers in the channel, the biggest challenge is figuring out just where and how to engage with AWS.
