AWS Partners Tout New Cloud Offerings at re:Invent

Amazon Web Services partners and supporters leveraged the re:Invent show to introduce new products, capabilities and services.
CommVault Automates Data Protection for Workloads on AWS
CommVault has added data management and data protection support for workloads running on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This includes cloud reporting as well as self-service virtual machine provisioning, recovery and resource management with snapshot-based data protection.
CommVault Simpana software support for Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and Amazon Glacier gives customers and partners the ability to manage data across on-premise and cloud infrastructures.
CommVault now offers automated virtual machine (VM) provisioning and lifecycle management for workloads running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). CommVault also has been designated by AWS as an Advanced Technology Partner and a Storage Competency Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN).
Datapipe Releases New Security Model
Datapipe, a global MSP of hybrid IT solutions for the enterprise, has launched the Datapipe Access Control Model for AWS (DACMA). DACMA lets enterprise businesses use the company's AWS managed services without requiring them to provide administrator-level credentials.
The model allows for an enhanced level of security and control through role-based access and tracking. Key features include complete control of data, role-based access, accountability, two-factor authentication and credential security.
DISYS Updates Cloud Enablement Product
Digital Intelligence Systems (DISYS), a global technology services firm and AWS consulting partner, has updated its cloud enablement product, Sirro, improving the user interface and expanding the functionality and features to streamline processes within the platform.
The latest version, Sirro 3.0, includes CloudTrail and CloudWatch Integration, AWS Asset Status Details, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Enhanced Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Management, Key Pair Management, Centralized Snapshot Management, Automated Task Scheduler and Expanded Tags Management.
Equinix, Datapipe Collaborate on Hybrid IT Solutions
Equinix and Datapipe announced a collaboration to provide managed hybrid IT solutions for AWS. The partnership combines Datapipe's hybrid IT solutions, including managed AWS within the Equinix data centers.
The solution leverages Equinix's global footprint of more than 100 international business exchange (IBX) data centers and its Cloud Exchange interconnection solution with Datapipe's managed services and the AWS platform. Together, the offering will provide improved security, performance and control as well as higher throughput versus connecting to AWS via the public Internet.
