StorMagic Targets Virtualization Resellers with New ProgramBy eChannelLine | Print
Re-Imagining Linux Platforms to Meet the Needs of Cloud Service Providers
StorMagic is placing more emphasis on the virtualization market and VMware resellers, in particular, with the launch of its new channel partner program.
The new partner program replaces a more generic, Microsoft-centric program that StorMagic has revamped and turned into the new program that it announced just prior to the VMware Partner Exchange event, said Mike Stolz, vice president of sales and marketing at StorMagic.
The company is currently looking to expand the number of channel partners it works with, and it has an eye towards those with a focus on bringing value to virtualization rather than those who are trying to simply push product.
"The focus of areas that they're going after is very important," Stolz said.
StorMagic's SvSAN product is essentially a virtual storage appliance, and the company is looking for partners that are technology-oriented but also focused on bringing their customers' costs down while also simplifying storage environments. That's the company's value, Stolz said.
