Data Systems Worldwide
Founded in 1971 by Frank Mogavero, Data Systems Worldwide was just acquired by SARCOM, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PC Mall, Inc. The management, sales, service and solutions development teams at DSW will remain intact with Frank's sons, Phil and Mike Mogavero, who have been at the helm of the company for 30 and 15 years, respectively, continuing to play a key role in the management and growth of DSW.

DSW took Bull's Eye honors for its solution to provide the first Intelligent Hospitality and Gaming infrastructure to the new 300-room Eastside Cannery in Las Vegas. DSW selected Cisco 6500s with built-in security as the core network technology which transports data to sixty applications such as property management systems, energy management systems, access control, IP/TV and voice. DSW implemented the first Cisco Unified Communications solution in Las Vegas integrating Cisco UC, IPCC for call reservations and call control over all Cannery Vegas properties, Percipia hospitality service and a mix of Cisco color IP phones for casino and high end hotel users as well as more than 300 analog Telematrix phones connected to Cisco VG224 adapters. With IPCC, DSW was able to combine call centers from all three properties into one, saving Cannery significant operating expense while increasing productivity and customer satisfaction.

As part of the solution DSW implemented a cutting edge slot network, the first of its kind in Las Vegas. According to some experts, the increased use of these machines by customers can have a pay back of less than 12 months. This unique VSS solution which provides significant benefits for uptime versus lower priced solutions allowed DSW to defeat a lower priced HP solution.
