Wyse TCX Software Suite
Like its three virtualization partners -- VMware, Citrix and Microsoft -- Wyse Technology is all about doing more with less. The company focuses on thin computing, the replacement of the PC with a thin or zero client, delivering the productivity people need at a lower cost than traditional methods, all without compromising security or manageability. It was chosen as Contender for its Wyse TCX Software Suite.

Virtual clients don't sell unless the applications delivered on those devices are on par or exceed the functionality of a PC, and this was a key design criteria of the suite. It includes Wyse TCX Multi-display, which makes virtual clients and applications multi-monitor aware; Wyse TCX Multimedia, a software solution that streamlines the delivery of multimedia content to the local client; Wyse TCX USB Virtualizer, which enables the discovery of local USB devices plugged into Wyse thin clients directly into a virtual desktop environment; Wyse TCX Rich Sound, which provides bidirectional audio capabilities for virtual clients and applications; and new Flash acceleration technology that allows Adobe’s Flash-based content to be presented just like on a PC.

For the channel, this translates into being able to sell more end-to-end solutions as resellers now have a software solution that enhances margins on the hardware that they sell. They can build a wider solution with this innovative software that makes virtualization faster and easier.

Another bonus is that the TCX Suite brings value to other investments. It doesn’t matter if the solution providers are selling Citrix, VMware or Microsoft or supporting Microsoft RDP, Citrix ICA or VMware PCoIP, Wyse TCX Suite can help the channels extend virtualization to the client or desktop – the next phase of virtualization. The bottom line for channel partners is that they can push adoption of virtualization and gain new customers with Wyse TCX Suite.
