VMware Division, SpringSource, plans to acquire Rabbit Technologies, a provider of message queuing technology, the companies have announced.

SpringSource will integrate the company's RabbitMQ technology into its portfolio. The integration of the RabbitMQ open messaging system will help SpringSource reduce the complexity associated with development, deployment and management of enterprise applications.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Rabbit Technologies is an open-source software company based in the United Kingdom.
