The Xerox unit is after a bigger office technology services footprint.Xerox announced July 3 that its Global Imaging Systems division, which until May had been an independent print solutions VAR, has acquired another print solutions VAR, Blackstone Valley Office Systems, extending Global Imaging's East Coast service footprint.
The acquisition gives Global Imaging new office technology offerings and platform service capabilities, including MFPs (multifunction products), fax machines and shredders, and various Xerox document management platforms, the company said.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Xerox acquired Global Imaging in May 2006 for $1.5 billion.
