While this dealleft many scratching their heads, it was a move by Cisco into the consumer side of the video business. And any technology that drives the need for higher bandwidth is a good technology as far as Cisco is concerned. It also showed Cisco’s keen interest in expanding from its high-end video business to the mass market.
