Backup Challenges Create Channel Opportunities
For all the talk about cloud computing these days, it would seem that most people are still relying on external drives for backup and recovery. Given the inconsistent nature of both the process and the devices involved, it's not surprising that data recovery services have become a growth industry. A recent survey of 600 global customers, conducted by Kroll Ontrack, a provider of data recovery services, found that the number-one reason most users don't have an effective backup and recovery solution in place is the amount of time it takes to research and then administer a backup solution. Obviously, that creates a significant opportunity for channel solution providers that can remotely administer backup and recovery services.
