Vology, a North American technology solutions provider, has acquired Offsite Technology Solutions of Tampa, Fla., a provider of technical IT services to businesses in west central Florida.
Offsite is a regional managed service provider (MSP) that serves the growing segment of small and midsize businesses (SMBs) looking to outsource up to 100 percent of IT network management, which enables them to focus on their core business, said the company.

The new software-based sensor technology is integrated with Masergy's Unified Enterprise Security (UES) managed security service and provides customers with added protection against advanced cyber-security threats. The UES system architecture identifies advanced threats throughout customers' networks both on-premise and in the cloud.

Corporate IT Solutions has announced the availability of pCloud Workspace, a new desktop-as-a-service offering. The pCloud Workspace offers a fixed fee structure, on-site hosting and management, and public and private cloud options for any size organization.
The service includes comprehensive system management and automated software upgrades. The application is hosted and managed by the company in its data centers in Boston and Marlborough, Mass.
Gigamon, Empirix Provide Enhanced Data Filtering Capabilities for Service Providers
Gigamon, a provider of traffic visibility solutions, has teamed with Empirix to extend the analytical capabilities of the Empirix IntelliSight customer experience and performance management platform. The partnership leverages the Gigamon Visibility Fabric and the IntelliSight platform to enable Empirix service providers to improve customer experience for data-intense applications, such as video, voice and machine-to-machine (M2M) communications. This real-time understanding of user experiences allows service providers to increase service levels and profitability, said the company.
Continuity Software Upgrades Risk Detection Software
Continuity Software, a provider of service availability risk management solutions, has released version 6.4 (v6.4) of its AvailabilityGuard software, providing enhanced risk detection across software-defined data centers with broader support for VMware, EMC VPLEX, VCE Vbloc, Zerto and other cloud technologies.
The new version provides insights into customers' private cloud infrastructures and an early warning system that proactively identifies and mitigates hidden data loss and downtime risks, such as single-points-of-failure across the entire infrastructure, said the company.
AVG Adds Secure Sign-On for Service Providers and SMBs
AVG Technologies has introduced AVG Business Secure Sign-On (SSO) for service providers and small businesses. Supported by technology from identity-management provider Centrify, AVG Business SSO provides AVG partners and business owners with a simple way to control company data on employees' mobile devices and cloud applications, said the company.
AVG also added several feature updates to AVG Business CloudCare. These include a new customer drop-down box that allows IT providers to adjust the settings of one or all their customers with a single click, a central view of sales alerts, support for HTML5 and simpler access to customized reporting.

G-Cloud is an online marketplace where U.K. public sector bodies can review and buy IT services on the Digital Marketplace.
