Tech Data Launches Intel MSSP Program
Tech Data is offering an Intel Security Managed Services Specialization program to support managed security services providers (MSSPs) in the United States. MSSPs that meet the requirements of the program can access its features and tools directly through Tech Data. These include McAfee/Intel Security solutions and expertise already available via its StreamOne Solutions Store to build new revenue streams around managed security services.
Key features of the Intel Security Partner program (formerly the McAfee SecurityAlliance Program) include pay-per-use pricing, fast access to security products, reporting and billing and up-front discounts. The program offers optimized security solutions to resellers of all sizes and their customers, providing a structure and tools to help MSPs start the sales cycle. Resellers also have access to updated training, education and enablement tools through Tech Data's dedicated Intel Security team.
Bushel Unveils Affiliate Program for the Channel
Affiliate Program partners can earn a percentage-based commission for each customer they refer that enrolls more than three Apple devices. Bushel features a pay-as-you-go monthly pricing model with no long-term contracts. Participation is free via the Affiliate Program portal, which provides access to customer management, including referrals, commission amounts, links to refer customers and billable status reports.
Salesforce Enhances Community Cloud
Salesforce launched the next generation of the Community Cloud that delivers new ways for customers, partners and employees to connect. New features include Targeted Recommendations, Lightning Community Builder and Templates, and Salesforce Files Connect for Google Drive. Built on the Salesforce1 Platform, Community Cloud is connected directly to Salesforce CRM as well as third-party systems and data sources through the Connect API so companies can connect customers, partners and employees with tools and information they need. All new features are included in existing Community Cloud licenses as the products become available.
EMC to Acquire Virtustream
EMC signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Virtustream. As part of EMC's strategy to help customers move their applications to cloud-based IT environments, Virtustream will form EMC's new managed cloud services business when the deal is closed.
Virtustream's cloud software and infrastructure-as-a-service portfolio will be available directly to customers and through partners. EMC Federation service provider partners will be able to deliver their own branded services based on the Virtustream's xStream cloud management software platform.
