MegaPath Offers New Sales and Service Delivery Model

MegaPath, a provider of voice, data, security and cloud services in North America, announced its new indirect sales and service delivery model for channel partners. The model, aimed at helping master agents and reseller partners, will provide dedicated resources to support new sales and customer-retention programs. The model includes a dedicated channel sales team (including a channel sales manager, channel account manager and channel customer service representative), a dedicated support resource and improved service delivery.

The company also named a senior vice president of sales, Jeremy Jones, to oversee its direct and indirect sales organization.

Netformx Streamlines Solution Provider Sales Operations

Netformx, a provider of sales enablement and profit acceleration platforms for cloud and telecom solution providers, announced the availability of Netformx ChannelXpert v1, which automates the process of capturing reward dollars, meeting discount-based incentives, ensuring compliance, tracking employee certifications and managing deals.

The platform helps solution providers stay ahead of technology supplier incentives and promotions, which have a big impact on margin and profitability, said Netformx. This includes staying current on up-front discounts and back-end rebate programs as well as other programs based on employee levels of certification and specialization.

Rubrik Raises $41 Million in Funding

Rubrik, a converged data management company, announced a $41 million Series B investment, led by Greylock Partners together with Lightspeed Venture Partners and existing angel investors. Rubrik, which is a 100-percent channel company, plans to use the funding to grow its global footprint of customers and channel partners.

The company also introduced the r300 Series Hybrid Cloud Appliance that comes pre-configured with the Rubrik Converged Data Management Platform (RCDM). The RCDM is designed to scale out to tens of thousands of nodes.

Avnet Names SVP of Emerging Channels for the Americas

Avnet Technology Solutions appointed Dee Dee Lear senior vice president of Emerging Channels for the Americas to lead the company's efforts to expand its market share and drive growth through new partner acquisition and partner expansion in the Americas.
