Genband Joins HP OpenNFV Program
Genband, a software-based real-time communications specialist, has joined the HP OpenNFV Partner Program as a Technology Partner. The HP OpenNFV Program helps the telecommunications industry drive innovation and launch services faster and more cost effectively through virtualization of telecommunications core networks and network functions.
Genband is expected to play a role in helping accelerate the service provider community's transition from legacy networks to the open-standards-based network functions virtualization (NFV) and software defined network (SDN)-enabled infrastructure.
MyCloudIT Eases Windows Networks Management for MSPs
Providing a "true" Windows Network as a Service, the new capability enables client networks to be running in Azure in a few hours.
Other features include support for multiple devices (including Mac or Windows machines, thin clients, smart phones, and iPad or Android tablets), the ability to spin up multiple virtual machines with pre-installed operating systems and attach them to a customer's domain, storage geo-replication through Azure, and the ability to synchronize with Office 365, allowing the MSP to be the partner of record. MSPs and IT resellers can sign up for a free trial.
CloudHealth Tailors Cloud Platform for Service Providers
CloudHealth Technologies, a provider of IT service management for the cloud, has launched a new version of its CloudHealth cloud management platform, designed to meet the needs of service providers. Through the platform, MSPs, VARs and systems integrators (SIs) are able to manage multiple customer accounts through a single console.
Other features include the ability to automate production and delivery of customer statements, deliver value-added cloud services for monitoring, management and reporting, as well as optimize margins through aggregated usage for volume discounts and by taking advantage of reserved instance purchases and tiered discounts. CloudHealth also is launching a Cloud Business Accelerator Program for MSPs. The program includes MSP-tailored services for onboarding, customer onboarding training, run book creation and sales training.
