Xerox announced July 3 that its Global Imaging Systems division, which until May had been an independent print solutions VAR, has acquired another print solutions VAR, Blackstone Valley Office Systems, extending Global Imaging’s East Coast service footprint.

The acquisition gives Global Imaging new office technology offerings and platform service capabilities, including MFPs (multifunction products), fax machines and shredders, and various Xerox document management platforms, the company said.

Under the agreement, Blackstone will continue to provide SMBs (small and midsize businesses) located in Providence, R.I. and northern Rhode Island with printing, copying and faxing devices as a satellite of Conway Office Products, a document management platform provider based in Nashua, N.H.
