Dispersed Storage: the Next Frontier for Solution Providers?

For solution providers looking for a better way to sell storage than in boxes, a technology that has been around for a while, called Dispersed Storage, has been newly commercialized by Cleversafe. Dispersed storage does not make copies of data but runs the data through an algorithm and converts the data into "slices" of virtual data that are theoretically infinitely available and reliable, claim Chris Gladwin, president and CEO of Cleversafe, and Russ Kennedy, vice president of product management and strategic services, in this Changing Channels podcast.
