Motorola's ET1 tablet is designed for business, with a multi-user login feature, strong security, accessories to enable mobile POS, and better ROI than consumer tablets over a three year lifespan. The device also is superior in its management functions, enabling IT to remotely access, manage and provision thousands of devices, and even wipe them or shut them down if lost or stolen. The tablet is currently being piloted by a small group of unnamed retailers, but Channel Insider got a peek of the device recently at Motorola's offices. Take a look.

This tablet, designed for work, will run vertical industry applications under development by Motorola ISVs.
The Motorola ET1 features a customizable bezel, enabling a retailer or healthcare facility to put its own brand on the tablet
While this tablet is extraordinarily well-balanced and easy to hold, Motorola made it even easier with a 360-degree rotatable hand strap.
Another great enterprise feature is an optional accessory that enables the charging of multiple batteries at once. No need for a spaghetti-like configuration of power cords and power strips.
And while the battery life on the ET1 is designed to last, it is also hot-swappable, enabling retail or other workers to make a quick switch without interrupting their tasks.
The ET1 also features a front-facing and rear-facing camera, and will offer accessory options including a point-of-sale grade bar code reader.
