Data Explosion!

2009 ushered in a data explosion fueling the need for cheaper and more reliable storage for every size of business. A recent study by the Berkley School of Management found more data was created in the last three years than in the last 40,000 years of human history, combined.  In response, small and big vendors released software and hardware solutions designed to ease management and quickly deploy additional storage capacity for SMBs and the enterprise. Expect data capacities to continue to expand and disaster recovery strategies to be revisited. The government directive for Electronic Medical Records and the need to store growing numbers of imaging files will continue to fuel growth and new innovative products in the storage market in 2010.
