Marie Meoli Rourke, WhiteFox PR
Marie Meoli Rourke’s name is perhaps synonymous with the term “channel PR.” In fact, that’s her handle on Twitter: @channelPR. What started out as a tiny agency serving her former employer, Ingram Micro, Rourke’s firm, Whitefox PR, has expanded to serve a broader client base of vendors, solution providers and other channel companies.

But Rourke’s talents go deeper and wider than bullet points on a resume. She is on every reporter’s speed dial and instant message buddy list.  She’s a master networker who is often asked to serve as a matchmaker between solution provider and channel press, employer and job candidate, technology and story. Rourke has developed real relationships with the people in media, forgoing the form e-mails in favor of phone calls, jokes and an understanding of what reporters need.

Rourke also built a specialty around managed services, representing N-Able, for example, and deftly moving through this aspiring channel and the press that covers it with a rich knowledge about what the business model means to the industry.
