Hosted Solutions
Unlike other companies offering cloud computing-based implementations to its
customers, Hosted Solutions did several things to differentiate its program and
to help it stand out in the market.
First, the company branded its program as the Stratus Trusted Cloud,
addressing the concept of trust—a big question mark when customers are
considering putting data in the cloud. Hosted Solutions’ aim is to alleviate
customers’ concerns about outsourcing their data and other functions to a firm
that then uses another third party for hosting. Aside from being easier to
substantiate operational information for compliance with GRC
rules, Stratus Trusted Cloud enabled Hosted Solutions to talk about the level
of confidence it's engendered among its clients, including the Atlanta Falcons,
Cleveland Cavaliers, Channel Advisor and Motricity.
Second, Hosted Solutions folded its "Hi-Touch" consultative
approach into the Stratus program, working with clients to develop a program
that meets their specific needs. The company also has established partnerships
with key OEMs and ISVs such as VMware, Cisco, Sun, F5, EMC
and more, to reinforce the concept that its five SAS 70 Type II facilities
along the East Coast are capable of delivering the level of service its
customers need and expect to receive.
Finally, some clients also wanted the option of blending and maximizing the
best of a multitenant cloud with a dedicated environment. Hosted Solutions
delivered its "hybrid cloud" option, giving customers the ability to
cross-connect their existing back-end resources such as databases and other
supporting applications to the Stratus Trusted Cloud, providing them with
greater flexibility. As a result, fewer physical and staffing assets are
required, resulting in significant cap-ex cost savings.
