    T-Mobile is investigating a report of a breach of its network. Hackers claim to have gained access to large amounts of the wireless carrier's operating data, technology specs and customer records.

    T-Mobile says it's aware of the alleged breach of its network security, as reported in an email to insecure.org over the weekend.

    In a statement to Channel Insider, T-Mobile said:

    "The protection of our customers' information, and the safety and security of our systems, is absolutely paramount at T-Mobile. Regarding the recent claim, we are fully investigating the matter. As is our standard practice, if there is any evidence that customer information has been compromised, we would inform those affected as soon as possible."
