Roger King, the executive vice president of worldwide sales and the de facto global channel chief at McAfee, is exiting the security vendor for undisclosed new opportunities.
In a statement, McAfee said: "Recognizing that a successful channel program is key to maintaining strong growth and financial performance, McAfee has initiated an aggressive global search for a new leader of global channels. With an experienced team of regional channel leads, we are confident in our ability to make this a smooth transition and ultimately launch our channel program to even bigger and better levels."
News of King's departure comes just days after McAfee formally announced the elevation of Fernando Quintero as the new channel chief for the Americas. A 22-year-veteran of McAfee, Quintero had most recently served as the head of channels for Latin America.
