    BLOG: Beginning today, Adobe will begin releasing patches for its widely used document presentation, media and graphics applications. The predictable patch release cycle--like those adopted by Microsoft and Oracle--will give solution providers and enterprises an opportunity to plan for patch deployments and schedule regression testing.

    Like Microsoft and Oracle before them, Adobe is getting on the routine patch release schedule. Beginning today, Adobe will begin releasing patches for its widely used document presentation, media and graphics applications, according to the Adobe Product Security Incident Response Team blog.

    According to the Adobe security blog, the company will release unspecified security patches for Adobe Reader and Acrobat versions 7.x, 8.x, and 9.x for Windows and Macintosh. “Adobe considers this a critical update and recommends users be prepared to apply the update for their product installations,” Adobe wrote.
