The program allows partners to sell targeted security solutions to customers with fewer than 250 employees.
Security specialist McAfee announced it is making "significant investments" to enable partners to sell McAfee security solutions to small and midsize businesses. In response to a worldwide opportunity of more than $7 billion for SMB security solutions, McAfee is launching the SMB Specialization within the McAfee SecurityAlliance program to enable partners to improve profitability while addressing the needs of SMB customers.
McAfee SMB Specialization allows partners to sell targeted security solutions to customers with less than 250 employees. By enrolling in this specialization, partners can offer their customers email, Web, data and endpoint security solutions, with on-premise or SAAS (software as a service) delivery models. With this program, partners can take advantage of an enhanced profitability model, a range of enablement tools, turnkey marketing programs and dedicated resources.
This specialization is supported by the Partner Acceleration Resource Center, a dedicated online resource center that provides McAfee SMB partners 24/7 access to the information needed by channel partners to drive new SMB business and expand existing business with SMB customers. Enhanced McAfee Rewards and margin programs have been created for SMB partners.
The Partner Acceleration Resource Center provides access to SMB-specific information, including product overviews, product briefings, tutorials, best practices, sales tools and marketing campaigns. Partners receive marketing materials that help them execute marketing campaigns on their own or they can access a third-party marketing platform that will execute the campaign on their behalf.
The resource center includes tools and turnkey sales acceleration kits that use McAfee best practices in demand creation. The center offers increased sales support resources for partners to leverage for assisting with SMB opportunities. McAfee has created tools to help increase a partner’s status as a trusted security advisor, and dedicated McAfee sales and product experts are available for on-the-spot sales help.
"McAfee is committed to expanding business opportunities for McAfee SecurityAlliance Partners," said Alex Thurber, senior vice president of worldwide channel operations for McAfee. "The growing SMB space offers attractive cross-sell, up-sell and service revenue opportunities for our partners. With the McAfee SMB Specialization—the most robust program to sell security to the SMB customer—partners can simplify and accelerate their success in the SMB space."
