With only 21 percent of CIOs calling it a priority when searching for a service provider, consulting and professional services capabilities of the VAR ranked fairly low. This shows that CIOs are more concerned with quality of service and maybe feel that what one service provider cannot do, another may be able to provide. Also, CIOs may be more prepared to hire specialist consultants for each area of their systems, rather than have one more generic reseller provide all the professional services.
