New Border Patrol Rules Make Laptops an Open Book



A recent federal court ruling held that  border agents need no probable cause to search and collect data on international travelers' hard drives, cell phones and cameras. The resulting panic over the leakage of sensitive corporate data has sent many end users running to their solution providers for encryption as well as ways to give road warriors simplified laptop images when they head overseas.
