ScanSource POS & Barcoding, an international value-added distributor of automatic identification and data capture and point-of-sale solutions and services and sales unit of ScanSource Inc., has created a comprehensive program, Government Source, designed to educate and assist American resellers with business opportunities in the public sector, including healthcare, education and federal, state and local government.
Through the Government Source program, ScanSource resellers have access to education and training programs to help them become more learned on the many rules related to selling into the public sector, the players in these key markets, as well as avenues for finding and competing for the available opportunities.
"The terminology and contracting mechanisms are very different from the commercial environment, so educating resellers on this for state and local government is very important," explained Jeff Yeltson, president, ScanSource POS & Barcoding, in Greenville, S.C.
