Microsoft is making Origami devices the cornerstone of what it's calling "Lifestyle PCs."
From Microsoft Watch: Microsoft's positioning around the "Origami" ultra-mobile devices the first of which are due to debut in prototype form next week is as interesting to us as the hardware details for these new devices. It turns out Microsoft is making Origami devices the cornerstone of what it's calling "Lifestyle PCs." It sounds like these systems will come in a variety of flavors, including hinged/clam-shell-style convertibles that are code named "Kinesis." Don't expect the first Origami all-in-one units to roll off the shelves until 2007, however. And if you want the Vista-based models, think closer to 2008.
