    Everyone is on the run. Blackberries, Treos, iPhones and the coming Google Android-powered cell phones are transforming these telephony gadgets into fully functional palm-top computers. Enabling and managing these devices remains a nightmare for IT departments, a situation which provides a solution provider with the opportunity for selling mobility devices and the services to make them run smoothly. Mobility goes far beyond the cell phone, though. Everything from embedded cellular cards in computer notebooks to handheld barcode scanners to portable projectors are expanding the definition of mobility solutions. Despite a slight dip in year-over-year profitability ratings, solution providers can expect technologies that enable mobility will remain a strong play.
