Ingram Micro, the world's largest distributor, has signed an agreement to distribute solutions made by Bio-Optronics, a Rochester, N.Y., software company.

Specifically, Ingram, based in Santa Ana, Calif., will distribute the company's Dynamic Hospital Suite solutions, which will help give the distributor and its VARs an expanded set of products to offer in the vertical health care market, the company announced Oct. 11.

The new suite of solutions will be distributed through Ingram's Nimax Division, which focuses on POS (point-of-sale), mobile computing and automatic identification and data capture products.

"The agreement with Bio-Optronics enables our VARs to provide hospitals with powerful integrated solutions including hardware, including barcode scanners, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and printers, bundled with Bio-Optronics' powerful software applications," said Justin Scopaz, director of vendor management for Nimax, in a statement.
