    Verity adds services and tools for its partners, Asigra joins Isilon's partner program and teams for backup solutions, Cranel Imaging adds capabilities for its reseller partners, Linksys partners with MCI to offer voice and data solutions for small businesses, and OpenMFG expands its development partner program.

  • Verity Announces More OEM Application Components for ISVs and Systems Integrators

    Verity Inc. of Sunnyvale, Calif., has expanded the scope of OEM application components it can offer ISVs (independent software vendor) and systems integrators.

    New components include a new version of Verity K2 Developer, a new version of Verity Organizational Developers Kit, a new version of the Verity Recommendation Engine, a new version of Verity Profiler, Verity KeyView viewing, filtering and conversion software development kits, and Verity LiquidBMP, a workflow software development kit.

    Verity's OEM partners include CipherTrust, FileNet, IDX, Kana, Lotus, Oracle, TIBCO and Xerox.

  • Asigra Partners With Isilon

    Asigra Inc. of Toronto, Ontario, has joined the global Strategic Partner Program of Isilon Systems Inc. of Seattle, Wash., in order to jointly offer an agentless multi-site backup and recovery solution using Isilon's clustered storage. The offering combines Asigra's data protection software with Isilon's IQ clustered storage systems.

    The joint offering allows users to take advantage of an remote office/branch office backup and restore solution combined with Asigra Televaulting, which consolidates backup and scales as data center needs increase, said Eran Farajun, executive vice president of Asigra.

  • Cranel Offers Resellers Online Resources

    Cranel Imaging, a value-added distributor of document imaging, storage and duplication products and services based in Columbus, Ohio, has augmented its Cranel Imaging Online web site by implementing the Comergent eBusiness System.

    The Web site now allows Cranel Imaging's resellers to search products and pricing as well as place orders. The web site also allows resellers to configure product orders and then track and manage orders throughout the purchasing process.

  • Linksys, MCI Join Forces To Provide Hosted Communications Solution for Small Businesses

    Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems Inc. based in Irvine, Calif., has joined with MCI Inc. of Ashburn, Va., to offer a hosted communications solution designed for small businesses to manage voice, video and data. It includes all communications hardware and services, including phones, Internet broadband access, data networking services, hosted business applications and VoIP (Voice over IP) .

    VARs of both companies will be able to market and sell this solution to small businesses in collaboration with Linksys and MCI. MCI has created a new VAR channel to handle this offering.

  • OpenMFG Expands Partner Program

    OpenMFG, a Norfolk, Va., provider of ERP (enterprise resource planning) software applications for small and mid-sized manufacturers, has expanded its partner program, aimed at developers and systems integrators that build software solutions on the OpenMFG platform.

    While resellers and customers already have full access to OpenMFG's application source code, the expanded Development Partner Program now includes third-party developers that want to sell applications and solutions that integrate with OpenMFG or could be packaged as separate modules of new functionality. Solutions built by OpenMFG development partners will be marketed and sold by OpenMFG and its VAR partners.

    The expanded program has three levels. The silver level is for free-standing applications that integrate with OpenMFG through an API, while the gold level also allows the solution to be accessed directly from within the OpenMFG application. The platinum level is for partners that have completed OpenMFG Master Partner Certification.
