    Ingram Micro to Provide Support and Services to Oracle

    Ingram Micro Inc., of Santa Ana, Calif., will source Oracle's full product line to its cadre of more than 35,000 U.S.-based resellers focusing on the small and medium-sized (SMB) market. As part of the agreement, Ingram Micro also will provide integrated marketing, sales, technical support and logistics support to Oracle.

    By partnering with Ingram Micro, Oracle hopes to increase its penetration into the SMB market, according to Judson Althoff, Oracle's vice president of global platform and distribution alliances.

    Hyperion Launches Learning Management Solution

    Hyperion, a business performance management vendor based in Redwood Shores, Calif., has partnered with Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Saba to offer a variety of training to channel partners, customers and employees.

    The Saba Learning program, in conjunction with Hyperion Education services, will offer classroom courses and Web-based training. The system is integrated with Hyperion's online ordering system as well as its accounting and management dashboards.

    Microsoft Announces "Digital Locker" for ISVs

    Microsoft Corp. of Redmond, Wash., has announced a service called "Digital Locker," which will provide ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) with another channel with which to promote their applications developed for the upcoming Windows Vista operating system. The Digital Locker Service allows end-users to buy, download and store information on products built for Windows.

    Along with the Digital Locker service, Microsoft announced that it has invested $100 million in the Windows Vista ISV community through its Windows Vista Partner ShowCase Program, which offer ISVs access to new distribution channels, co-marketing opportunities and financial incentives.

    TalkSwitch Introduces New Partner Program

    Ottawa, Ontario-based TalkSwitch, a telephone system developer specializing in VOIP (Voice over IP) and PSTN (public switched telephone network) for small businesses and those with remote offices, has unveiled a new channel partner program.

    The TalkSwitch & You program, aimed at resellers specializing in the SMB market, is divided into three levels: Authorized, Gold and Platinum. Depending on the level, partners can take advantage of several program features including enhanced sales and marketing support, lead referral, premium technical support, a secure reseller Web site, technical Webinars, sales seminars, competitive advantage information, custom marketing material, and a partner news release program.
