EmailAs IT organizations move to embrace agile development methodologies, the increased volume of new application updates they are creating are overwhelming their IT operations teams. That creates a unique opportunity for solution providers in the channel to help those organizations restructure their IT operations to deal with new realities of agile development.
A new survey conducted by Electric Cloud, a provider of tools for managing DevOps, of more than 730 applications development and operations professionals indicates that 75 percent of today's application deployments are done manually or with little automation. It also found that 70 percent of respondents stated that their deployments take more than one day, while 50 percent acknowledged completely missing release dates.
