Ingram Micro plans to enhance partner program, Intransa adds European partners, LSI Logic partners with VeriSilicon, Emulex partners with ACAL Storage Networking, and Level 3 teams with 8x8 for VOIP solutions.

Ingram Micro Plans Enhancements to Partner Program

Ingram Micro Inc. of Santa Ana, Calif., has announced several new resources for its partners designed to increase membership and encourage more partnerships.

New offerings include more advanced training and education; more support resources, high-end training and education for large, multi-regional resellers; new business development tools and technology solutions for resellers targeting the SMB, mid-market, digital home and mainstream verticals; and more sharing of best practices and formal communication.

Ingram Micro also plans to expand the number of its practice groups—groups that identify and target specific partners that specialize in specific technologies or are interested in focusing on a specific technology.

Intransa Expands in Europe; Adds Partners

To expand its presence in Europe, Intransa, a vendor of iSCSI SAN (Storage Area Network) solutions based in San Jose, Calif., has added several partners throughout Europe. The new European resellers and distributors will resell Intransa's hardware- and software-based solutions to SMBs (small and medium-sized businesses) in the United Kingdom, France and Sweden.

New partners include AddIQ and DataSave of Germany; Zycko Ltd., Cisilion Ltd., BT Skynet and Prob Solve Solutions of the United Kingdom; and Matrix Communications and Bearcom of North America.

Level 3, 8x8 Team on VoIP Channel Expansion

Level 3 Communications of Broomfield, Colo., has joined forces with 8x8 Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., to develop VOIP (Voice over IP) and videophone solutions.

The solutions, which will be sold and distributed through 8x8 Inc.'s residential and small business channel and partner network, makes Level 3 the wholesale network carrier for 8x8's Packet8 voice and video Internet phone services. 8x8 is a member of the Level (3) Enabled Master Reseller program in which Level 3 helps identify prospective channel partners for 8x8's channel program.

Intransa Expands European Presence; Announces Partnership Agreements

Intransa, an IP storage systems vendor based in San Jose, Calif., has inked several agreements with new European partners that will sell the company's hardware- and software-based storage solutions to SMB (small and medium-sized businesses) in France, Sweden and the United States.

Emulex Joins Forces with ACAL to Offer SAN Solutions to European Customers

Emulex Corp. of Costa Mesa, Calif. is partnering with ACAL Storage Networking, a storage networking distributor based in Belgium, to offer SAN connectivity solutions through Emulex's new "Perfect 10" channel program.

Under the terms of the agreement, ACAL Storage Networking will distribute the full range of Emulex SAN connectivity solutions including the Emulex LP10000 and LP1050 family of Fibre Channel HBAs (Host Bus Adapter).

LSI Logic Partners with VeriSilicon for IP Solutions

LSI Logic Corp. of Milpitas, Calif., has added Shanghai, China-based VeriSilicon Holdings Co., a fabless ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) design foundry to its ZSP Solution Partner program as an authorized design center, enabling it to use LSI Logic's ZSP400 DSP (digital signal processor) core to bolster its IP portfolio.

By using LSI Logic's DSP core, VeriSilicon will be able to provide a complete DSP solution that will allow developers to enjoy shorter design cycles and lower the cost of resulting products, according VeriSilicon CEO Wayne Dai.
