    Atempo launches a partner program and taps Bell Micro as a distributor, WysDM and NeoScale also develop partner programs, LSI Logic ships a SAS solution to the channel, Agilysys outlines a partner program for HP partners, and Applix expands its partner program to Sweden.

    Atempo Announces Partner Program; Bell Micro Will Distribute Products

    Atempo Inc., an ILM (information lifecycle management) vendor based in Palo Alto, Calif., has initiated a new partner program designed to help partners better compete and better solve customers' data protection problems.

    The Select Partner Program offers sales materials and technical support, as well as training and certification on the design, configuration, installation and maintenance of Atempo solutions, including Time Navigator, Assentor Suite and LiveBackup.

    In conjunction with the partner program announcement, Atempo announced that Bell Microproducts Inc. of San Jose, Calif., will distributed Atempo's products to its resellers.

    LSI Logic Ships SAS Solutions to the Channel

    LSI Logic Corp. of Milpitas, Calif., will ship its dual-channel SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) HBA (host bus adapter), a PCI-X, eight-port 3G bits/sec product, through the channel.

    Kerry Reid, senior director for channel business development at LSI Logic, said that early shipment of SAS HBAs to the channel is an indication of the importance of the channel to the company.

    WysDM Software Develops Channel Program

    WysDM Software Inc., a data protection management vendor based in New York, has introduced a channel partner program to help distribute the company's WysDM for Backups, which EMC recently announced it was repackaging as part of its information management and protection offerings.

    So far, five resellers have signed up for the WysDM Channel Partner Program, including Cambridge Computer Services Inc. of Waltham, Mass; n3k Informatik Ltd. of Basingstoke, England; London-based Posetiv Ltd., StorMatrix Inc. of New York; and TriSys Ltd. of Bedfordshire, England.

    Agilysys Targets Partner Program at HP Partners

    Agilysys Inc. of Cleveland has introduced a new partner program aimed specifically at the company's KeyLink Systems Group partners selling Hewlett-Packard Co. products.

    The Services Surround program offers these partners access to a dedicated Agilysys HP resource center and pre-sales support specialists that help them piece together solutions that include appropriate HP services. These partners also receive help with customer calls and help developing the value proposition around HP services.

    The program was developed to help increase the services-content ratio of initial hardware and software sales and to increase add-on annuity revenue streams through services contracts renewals, Agilysys Vice President Pete Montana said.

    Applix Adds Partners in Sweden

    Applix Inc. of Westborough, Mass., has added two partners in Sweden, helping the company expand in northern Europe beyond Norway and Denmark.

    Resco AB, an international consultancy firm based in Stockholm, Sweden, specializes in IT, ERP (enterprise resource planning) and business development solutions, while Itera Consulting Group ASA s a supplier of business intelligence services based in Oslo, Sweden.

    NeoScale Announces New Partner Program

    NeoScale Systems Inc., a storage security company based in Milpitas, Calif., has announced a new global partner program designed to solidify the company's existing alliances with third-party technology providers.

    The NeoScale Alliance Partner Program, which will launch in October, will be divided into Solution Partners and Channel Partners. Solution Partners include vendors like ADIC, ADVA, Brocade, Cisco, EMC, Fujitsu, Hitachi, McDATA, Quantum, StorageTek and Symantec. NeoScale's channel partners include those in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Support includes product training and pre-sales technical support.

    NeoScale also has joined the Hewlett-Packard Information Lifecycle Management partner program as a premier gold partner.
