Carolyn April joins Channel Insider as its new editor, and Susan Kostbar takes over sales. The new additions to the Channel Insider team provide the talent and resources to accelerate growth, says Publisher Lawrence Walsh.

Channel Insider strives to provide our readers and clients with the best possible information and resources to succeed in the multibillion-dollar IT marketplace. To help better serve that mission, Channel Insider announces the addition of two new members to our team: Carolyn April and Susan Kostbar.

April, a veteran channel journalist and analyst, joins Channel Insider today as editor. She will be responsible for editorial and content operations for Channel Insider’s online and print publications, as well as contributing to strategic research and market intelligence projects.

April is well-known in the channel community through her service as managing editor and executive editor of VARBusiness and managing editor of Redmond Magazine. Most recently, she was a principal analyst at Everything Channel’s Institute for Partner Education and Development (IPED). She brings with her a deep knowledge of channel operations, technologies and reseller relationships. Her skills, expertise, experience and connections will greatly enhance Channel Insider’s capabilities and lend greatly to our growth as the leading source of channel intelligence and services.

Kostbar joins Channel Insider as our sales manager, responsible for developing and managing our advertising and strategic engagement accounts. Kostbar knows the channel well, having served for many years as a sales manager and executive within several of the business units at Everything Channel. Most notably, Kostbar was associate publisher of VARBusiness and contributed to sales leadership for ChannelWEB, CRN and related portfolio for several years. Her knowledge of channel issues and marketing needs will greatly enhance Channel Insider’s ability to reach and service the channel community.

Lawrence M. Walsh, who has served the dual role of editor and publisher for the past seven months, will shift his attention to business development, strategic services and research. He will continue writing about channel trends and security issues, as well as serving as the principal author of a new channel security blog.

“Carolyn and Susan are tremendous talents in channel editorial and sales, and will complement our existing team in delivering superior content and services. Their arrival will help accelerate Channel Insider’s growth and ability to service the channel community,” says Walsh, vice president and group publisher of Channel Insider.

Channel Insider is dedicated to providing IT resellers and the partner community with the technology and market intelligence to increase revenues and grow their businesses.
