Remote monitoring and cloud computing solutions provider Zenith Infotech announced that its managed services business unit has been spin off and is now operating as a new and separate company called Zenith RMM. The company noted Summit Partners made a “sizable” growth equity investment. Summit’s John Carroll and Jason Glass will join the Zenith RMM Board of Directors. Zenith Infotech will continue to be a major shareholder of Zenith RMM, and managing director and CEO Akash Saraf will be a member of the Board of Directors of Zenith RMM.

Active in managed services since 2005, Zenith RMM has been active in remote monitoring and management (RMM) by integrating a Network Operations Center (NOC) with an SaaS-based management portal. The combination is designed to enable Managed Services Providers (MSPs) to achieve a higher level of automation, efficiency and profit. A main pillar of the platform is Zenith RMM's ability to provide problem resolution and 24/7 support. Nearly 3,000 MSP partners use the Zenith RMM platform to manage almost 400,000 endpoints.

"Today's announcement represents a focused and strategic approach to better address the overall needs of managed services providers," said Saraf. "We owe a debt of gratitude to our loyal partners that have helped us create a leading managed services offering. I look forward to working closely with the Zenith RMM leadership team to help create an exciting vision for the next generation of software services."

Larry Shulman, owner of LMS Technical Services, a Zenith RMM partner, welcomed the news by saying it creates a strong U.S.-based company that is fully dedicated to managed services. "Zenith's management portal and world-class NOC are an essential part of our IT services offering,” he said. “We are confident that the company's dedicated focus on RMM will continue to strengthen the company's platform and our partnership, allowing us to keep delivering an exceptional level of service to our customers."

Jason Glass, a principal of Summit Partners, added Zenith Infotech created a compelling offering that has been broadly adopted in the managed services sector. “We are pleased to invest in Zenith RMM and look forward to working closely with Michael and the new management team to support the company's continued growth and expansion," Glass said.
