    Avaya says the $475 million acquisition agreement is a big step in strengthening its position in the business communications market and also in its ability to provide enterprise communications solutions to customers.

    Avaya has signed an agreement to acquire Nortel Enterprise Solutions, the latter's enterprise solutions business, for $475 million.

    According to Avaya, the acquisition agreement is a big step in strengthening its position in the business communications market and also in its ability to provide enterprise communications solutions to customers. Avaya was unable to comment on how this acquisition would have an impact on its own product portfolio or its channel partners.
