BONUS STEP: PC Tune-Up can identify and eliminate ActiveX applications, often associated with malware. Scanning for ActiveX can provide some interesting information. Even though the test system was protected by an anti-virus suite, PC Tune-Up was able to fine and eliminate “hijacker” ActiveX control, often the bane of many web surfers.
