STEP SIX: After the system fixes found problems, users can “optimize” the registry, a process which defrags the registry and bootup files, which should speed up application launches and system boots. The test system I was using suffered from long boot times. After running the PC Tune-Up utility and committing the fixes to the system, boot up time was cut in half.
