Vendor- and Distributor-Run Peer-to-Peer Portals

Ingram Micro is one of the big companies that's created a P2P networking site for partners, letting them search for each other based on certifications, areas of expertise, geography and other profile fields. The distributor launched its site, called the Zone, in 2007 for its VentureTech Network of partners. Some big IT vendors have launched similar P2P networks for partners too.
