IBM Guns for Oracle with Double the Cash Rewards

IBM is bringing out the big guns in its war against Oracle, offering double the cash rewards up to 40 percent to partners who rip out Oracle products and replace them with IBM. Channel Insider takes a closer look at a handful of the hundreds of products eligible for the program and what Oracle products will go to the recycler to make room.

IBM Escalates War with Oracle

IBM says that partners who joined Oracle via acquisition, from Sun, Siebel and PeopleSoft, have expressed uncertainty about their future, representing a "gaping hole" that IBM wants to drive a truck through by signing up these partners and displacing Oracle products. So IBM is doubling the cash rewards to partners who do Oracle rip and IBM replace. Here’s a selection of the eligible products.
